Engine check warning lamp
If the engine check warning lamp
illuminates when the engine is
running, this indicates a
malfunction. The engine will continue to
run but it will have limited power. Have this
checked as soon as possible.
Front fog lamp indicator
It will illuminate when you switch
the front fog lamps on.
Water in fuel warning lamp
Equipped)
If the water in fuel warning lamp
illuminates whilst driving
immediately see an Authorised
Ford Dealer to have the water drained from
the fuel filter.
CAUTION
Failure to do so could damage the
vehicle's fuel injection system causing
engine failure.
Note: Such failures are not covered under
warranty repair.
Engine coolant temperature
warning lamp
If it stays on after starting or
illuminates (with audible
chimes) when driving, this
indicates a malfunction. Stop your vehicle
as soon as it is safe to do so and switch the
engine off. Check the coolant level. See
Engine Coolant Check (page 83).
CAUTIONS
Do not resume your journey if it
illuminates despite the level being
correct. Have the system checked by
a properly trained technician immediately.
