  • Page 6 Step C Store Electrical Cord Step D Check Dust Cup Remove and replace the dust cup to ensure it is properly lined up with the seals in the dust cup compartment. During shipment the dust cup may have moved affecting overall performance.

    When using your new vacuum you may be cleaning deep down dirt missed by your old vacuum causing the light to stay yellow longer. With frequent cleaning, after the first few times you use your Eureka vacuum, the yellow light should go on less.

    How To Use Accessories NOTE: Place cleaner on floor with the handle in storage position while using accessories. Do not place cleaner on furniture or steps. 1. Separate hose end from cleaner by pulling up with a slight twisting motion. Remove hose from hose retainers.

    HOW TO MAINTAIN The instructions in this booklet serve as a guide to routine maintenance. To avoid unnecessary service calls, check the dust cup, filters, belt, and brush roll often. Brush Roll The brush roll turns as it sweeps and combs the carpet nap. Remove hair and threads from the brush roll so it continues brushing the carpet.

    Cleaning And Replacing Filters (continued) HEPA Filter Check the HEPA filter once a month. Replace at least twice a year or if suction is declining. Some models have a red HEPA Filter warning light. If light comes on and stays on, replace filter. HINT: For ease of assembly, lay cleaner on its back and proceed to the following instructions.

    How to Remove and Check Clear Tube Low suction or poor pickup may be due to a blockage in the vacuum cleaner. To Check Attachment Hose 1. Remove hose and check suction at end of hose - if little or no suction, check dust cup and filters.

    How to Reassemble Clear Tube 10. Reattach hose to clear tube. Insert hose and rotate clockwise to secure. 11. Hook the bottom of the clear tube on the cleaner next to the combination brush storage location. 12. Swing top of tube up and against the cleaner till quarterturn lock is in place. Then fasten using a coin turning the quarterturn lock clockwise.
