Note: The built-in automatic level control
(ALC) automatically sets the recording
level once recording starts.

Manual Recording

To record manually, select the folder you
want to use (see "Selecting a Folder" on
Page 15) then press . The
RECORD/STOP
recorder sounds a tone. When you hear
the tone, speak into the built-in micro-
phone.
As you record, REC flashes and the cur-
rent message number appears. The Sec
digit counts upward as recording contin-
ues.
