Shotlldn't.
Hthis is your first dishwasher,or
if you'rereplacinga much older
model, you may wonderhow much
pre-preparationyourdishes need.
Actuallyvery little. l?re-rinsingof
normal food soils is not necessary.
With common senseand a little
practice you'llsoon knowwhat
foodsto remove. Here are some
guidelines:
L Scrape off bones, seeds, skins,
toothpicksand other hard solids. It
is also best to removehard shelled
vegetables,meat trimmings, leafy
vegetablesand crusts. Remove
excessivequantitiesof oil or
grease.
2. Removelarge quantitiesof any
food. Yourdishwasherhas a built-in
SO13 food disposer that pulverizes
softfoodbits and flushesthem away.
It can handle small amounts of
soft foods, but large amountsof
food as soft as mashed potatoes or
applesaucewillbe difficultto handle.
3. Try to remove food scraps and
place dishes in dishwasherbefore
soil has a chance to dry and become
hard. Dishes with dried-on soil are
more difficult to wash and may
not come clean in the NORMAL
WASHcycle. Remember to use
your RINSE ONLY cycle for small
"holding" loads.
Note: The foodsmentionedhero
are for examplesonly,Other foods
not mentionedmayalso need to be
removedfrom yourdishes. You
may also want to consider removing
foodssuch as mustard, mayonnaise,
vinegar,lemon juice and other
foodsthat can cause discoloration
of stainlesssteelif allowedto
remain on dishes for a long period
of time.
When using the PmscRmBER
cycle, less preparation is required
beforeloading.The l?013CRUBB13R
cyclecan wash heavily-soiled
dishes and removedried-on and
baked-on soils from pots, pans and
casseroles. Items with burned-on
soils may not come clean. And the
dishwashercannot remove burn
marks or restore fading caused by
overheatingduring cooking.
