Clamping set (for MFT):
Secure the machine on the Festool multifunction
table MFT using the clamping set (494693) (7.2).
Use the two screw holes (7.1).

Changing tools

Risk of personal injury. Follow the
safety rules below:
• Always pull the mains plug out of the socket
before changing blades.
• Actuate the spindle lock (8.2) only after the saw
blade has come to rest.
• The saw blade becomes very hot during opera-
tion; do not touch it before it has cooled down.
• Always wear protective gloves during tool
change due to the risk of injury from the sharp
tool cutters.

Removing saw blades
– Move the machine to working position.
– Loosen the screw (8.2) by approx. 2 revolu-
tions.
– Turn the covering (8.3) clockwise up to the stop,
so that the screw (8.10) is accessible.
– Push in the spindle lock (8.1) and turn 90° clock-
wise.
– Unscrew the screw (8.10) completely using the
Allen key (8.11) (left-handed thread).
– Press the on/off switch (8.5) to unlock the pivot
guard.
– Open the pivot guard (8.6) completely.
– Remove the clamping fl ange (8.9) and the saw
blade.
Installing saw blades
– Clean all parts before installing them (saw blade,
fl anges, screw).
– Place the saw blade on the tool spindle (8.7).
Ensure that the directions of rota-
tion of the saw blade (8.6) and machine (8.1) cor-
respond.
– Secure the saw blade with the fl ange (8.9) and
the screw (8.10).
– Tighten the screw (8.10) (left-handed thread).
– Turn the covering (8.3) anticlockwise up the
stop.
– Tighten the screw (8.2).
– Push in the spindle lock (8.1) and turn 90° an-
ticlockwise.
