Using the Built-in Flash
In indoors, low light, or backlit conditions, just pop-up the built-in flash and press
the shutter button to take flash pictures. In the <
P
> mode, the shutter speed
(1/60 sec. - 1/200 sec.) will be set automatically to prevent camera shake.
Effective Flash Range

Press the

button.

In Creative Zone modes, you can
press the <

> button anytime to take
flash pictures.

While the flash is recycling,
"~buSY"
is displayed in the viewfinder, and
[BUSY
~]
is displayed on the upper
left of the LCD monitor.
Press the shutter button halfway.
~
In the bottom left of the viewfinder,
check that the <
~
> icon is lit.
Take the picture.

When focus is achieved and you
press the shutter button completely,
the flash will fire for the picture.
