* Place bowl l ift handle in downposition.

snaps intospringlatch.

* Raise bowlbefore mixing.
TOATTACH P OURING SHIELD*
1. Turnspeed control to OFE
2. Unplug S tand Mixer or disconnect power.
3. Attach FiatBeater, Dough Hook, orWire
Whip andbowl.
4. From thefrontofthemixer, slidethePouring
Shield over t hebowluntiltheshield is
centered. Thebottom rimoftheshield
should fit within thebowl.
TOREMOVE POURING SHIELD
1. Turnspeed control to OFF.
2. Unplug S tand Mixer or disconnect power.
3. LiftthefrontofthePouring S hield clear
ofthebowlrimandpullforward.
4. Remove a ttachment andbowl.
TOUSE POURING SHIELD
1. Forbestresults, rotate theshield sothe
motor head covers the"u" shaped g apin
theshield. T hepouring chute willbejustto
therightoftheattachment hubasyouface
themixer.
2. Pour t heingredients intothebowl t hrough
thepouring chute.
* if Pouring Shield isincluded
NOTE: Check thatbowlandpouring shieldare
properly i n place.
TOREMOVE BOWL
* Place bowllift handle in downposition.
, Grasp bowlhandle andlift straight upand
off locating pins.
TORAISE BOWL
= Rotate handle back andup untilit snaps
intothelocked vertical p osition.
* Bowl m ustalwa._.be in raised, l ocked
position whenm_x_ng.
TOLOWER B OWL
* Rotate handle backanddown.
TO ATTACH FLAT BEATER,
WIREWHIP, O R DOUGHHOOK
Turnspeed control to OFF andunplug.
= Lower b owlbyrotating bowllift handle
downward.
= Slipfiatbeater o nbeater s haftandpress
upward asfaraspossible.
* Turnbeater t oright,hooking beater o verthe
pinon shaft.

OVERLOAD RESET B UTTON
(Model 5 KPM50 only)
* if themixerisoverloaded, theOverload
Reset Button willpopoutandthemixer will
shutoff.TurntheSpeed Control Lever t o
OFE Wait a few minutes, thenpushinthe
Overload R eset Button. Turn theSpeed
Control Lever t othedesired speed and
continue mixing.
