Set the fence square with the table.
Hold the best face of the workpiece
firmly against the fence throughout the
feed. (Fig. 10)
CAUTION :
Cover the cutterhead with the safety
cover when the fence i s pulled out. (Fig.
1 1 ) . However, never touch the safety
cover when the jointer
i s
running.
Jointing warped workpieces
If the workpiece is dished or warped,
press down when the workpiece moves
over the outfeed table to obtain a
smooth surface. (Fig. 10)
