RECOMMENDED ENCLOSURES Your Solo-Baric subwoofers are designed for massive sub-bass performance when installed in a simple sealed enclosure. Sealed boxes are known for extended low frequency capability with a smooth gradual roll off characteristic - elaborate hard-to-build boxes aren’t needed to get the best bass response. Because of the Solo-Baric's high moving mass, it is essential that the enclosure size recommendations be followed exactly.
  • Page 3 The following shows examples of the minimum enclosure sizes for each of the Solo-Baric L7s. Panel dimensions assume 3/4" wood thickness. Panel dimensions for minimum recommended enclosures: Model Volume (cu.ft.) Panel A Panel B Panel C S8L7 0.33 10"x10" 10"x8" 8"X8.5"...
  • Page 4 BUILDING YOUR ENCLOSURE The actual construction of the enclosure is fairly simple, but some rules must be fol- lowed to make sure your cabinet is solid and airtight: Use very sturdy wood, such as 3/4" MDF (medium density fiberboard) or multi-ply marine plywood.
  • Page 5 WIRING Solo-Baric L7 woofers are available with dual 2 Ohm and dual 4 Ohm voice coils. Both coils should always be hooked up. The dual 2 Ohm woofer will give you a 1 Ohm or a 4 Ohm load depending on if the coils are wired in parallel or in series.
