Appendix A: Service Information

Warranty Service
If you think your Mackie product has a problem,
please check out the following troubleshooting tips and
do your best to confirm the problem. Visit the Support
section of our website (www.mackie.com/support)
where you will find lots of useful information such as
FAQs and documentation. You may find the answer to
the problem without having to send your Mackie prod-
uct away.
Troubleshooting
Bad Channel
Are the channels assigned to the correct mix
(1-2, 3-4, L-R )?
Is the fader up?
Try unplugging any insert devices from the
INSERT [4) jacks.
Try the same source signal in another channel,
set up exactly like the suspect channel.
Bad Output
Is the level control (if any) turned up?
If you're listening to the C-R OUTS [9] or
PHONES [10] outputs, has a SOURCE selection
been made?
If it's one of the MAIN OUTS [14], try unplug-
ging its companion. For example, if it's the 1/4"
output, unplug the RCA output. If the problem
goes away, it's not the mixer.
If it's a stereo pair, try switching them around.
For example, if a left output is presumed dead,
switch the left and right cords, at the mixer
end. If the left is still dead, it's not the mixer.
Unplug everthing from the MAIN INSERT [13].
Noise
Turn the channel faders and STEREO RETURN
knobs down, one by one. If the sound disap-
pears, it's either that channel or whatever is
plugged into it, so unplug whatever that is. If
the noise disappears, it's from your whatever.
Power
Unplug the power cord and check the fuse.
