Note
Your phone's battery should have enough charge for your
phone to turn on and find a signal, set up your voicemail,
and make a call. You should fully charge your battery as
soon as possible. See "Charging the Battery" on page 14
for details.
WARNING
If your handset has a touchscreen display, please
note that a touchscreen responds best to a light
touch from the pad of your finger or a non-metallic
stylus. Using excessive force or a metallic object
when pressing on the touchscreen may damage the
tempered glass surface and void the warranty. See
"Manufacturer's Warranty" on page 118.

Activating Your Phone

If you purchased your phone at a store
and ready to use.
If you received your phone in the mail
be activated via the Tools menu prior to its initial use. Once the
process has been completed, confirm your activation by
making a phone call.

Do not press

Activation via the Tools Menu

Once you have installed the battery (page 13), press
on your phone and begin the self-activation process.
This procedure will take you through the necessary steps before
initiating your first phone call or using any of the phone's data
features.

> Tools > Activate > Yes

Follow the onscreen prompts and enter the required
information into their respective fields.
Note
No calls can be made until the phone is restarted after
setup.
Once phone activation is complete, the Activate menu
option will convert to " Self-Service " (within the Menu >
Tools menu).
