The Voice Tab - Line1 Settings

On the Line1 screen, configure the settings for service on Line 1, which uses the Phone1 port of the Router.
NOTE: Depending on your Internet phone service provider's policies, your access to the Router's
configuration settings may be restricted, so you may not be able to access the Voice tab of the
Web-based Utility.
If your Internet phone service provider sent you the Router, then it may be pre-configured for you,
and you do not need to change any settings. However, if you want to make configuration changes,
then you should visit the website of your Internet phone service provider and make these changes
online. The updated settings will be remotely downloaded to the Router. For more information, refer
to the instructions provided by your service provider.
Subscriber Information
Display Name. Enter the name you wish displayed for caller ID purposes. (This field is optional.)
User ID. Enter your ID name or number. Refer to the instructions your provider gave you.
Authentication User Name. Enter the user name used to access your service. Refer to the instructions your
provider gave you.
Authentication Password. Enter the password used to access your service. Refer to the instructions your
provider gave you.
Registration/Proxy Server. Enter the IP address of your provider's registration or proxy server. Refer to the
instructions your provider gave you.
NAT Traversal Settings
NAT Traversal. The NAT (Network Address Translation) Traversal setting allows you to select the method that will
enable Internet phone calls to travel between your local network and the Internet. Select the setting required by
your Internet phone service provider, STUN, Use NAT Aware Outbound Proxy, or NONE.
If you selected STUN, then complete the fields on the Voice - System screen. If you selected Use NAT Aware
Outbound Proxy, then complete the NAT Aware Proxy Address field.
NAT Aware Proxy Address. Enter the IP address of the NAT (Network Address Translation) aware proxy server
that the Router will use. This information should be supplied by your Internet phone service provider.
