COMPATIBILITY
The AATpR10 thermal printer is designed to
connect to Argus Analyzer's hand held digital
battery analyzer model AA500p only. This
printer may not be attached to any other AA
series tester.

CONNECTION / DISCONNECTION

The printer can be attached to or removed from
the AA500p at any time – before, during, or
after completing a test. However, removing the
printer while printing is not recommended.
To connect the printer:
1. Remove the rubber cap in the overgrip at
the base of the AA500p – exposing the
printer connection port.
2. Hold the AA500p and the printer so that the
display and the printer door are facing you.
3. Align the bottom of the AA500p and the
mating port of the printer and push them
together firmly until the printer is securely
attached to the AA500p .
4. If the AA500p is attached to a battery,
proper connection can be confirmed by the
printer icon in the upper right of the display.
To disconnect the printer:
Depress the two buttons on the edges of the
printer, then pull the printer away from the
AA500p . Replace the rubber cap to cover the
connection port on the AA500p .
ONE-TIME SETUP
If you have not already set the printer language,
date and time on the AA500p , please follow the
one-time setup section below.

The AA500p must be connected to a
battery during setup.

Enter the Setup mode at any time from the
'SoC' page.

If you make a mistake, simply enter the
setup mode again and enter the correct
values.

The printer does not need to be attached
to the AA500p to complete this set-up
process.
1. Change the display to show the 'SoC' page.
2. Once on the 'SoC' page, press and hold the
< browse button for 5 seconds. The unit will
beep, the display will clear and the first set
up screen will be displayed. 'prn' will show
in the upper left corner of the screen.
3. At each setup page, change the
corresponding value using the > and <
buttons, and set the value by pressing the
button.
4. When you press the (enter) button you will
move to the next setup screen. After the
last setup screen (Time) all setup values
will be stored and the AA500p will exit the
setup mode.
The setup screens are organized in the
following order. Each screen is identified at the
top left of the display
1. print language (prn)
2. Year (Yr)
3. Date (Dat)
4. Time (Ti)
