Press the Copy Start key. Does
the registration roller rotate
immediately after the scanner
moves forward?
Does the voltage between the
connector J114-B10 (+) and
the connector J114-B1 (–) on
the DC controller PCB change
from 0 V to 24 V immediately
after the scanner starts to
move forward?
Checks
Is the scanner drive cable rout-
ed correctly?
Is the scanner rail free of dirt,
and does the scanner move
smoothly?
Check the wiring/connection
from the connector J116 on the
DC controller PCB to the scan-
ner motor. Is it normal?
Replace the scanner motor. Is
the problem corrected?
