7. Changing the Encryption Key (Password)

We recommend you regularly change the Encryption key/password to help keep your wireless network
secure.
Note: The Length of the password you can use depends on the Encryption Type you have selected.
WEP ASCII : 64 bit = 5 ASCII characters
WEP ASCII : 128 Bit 13 ASCII characters
WEP Hex : Hex 64 bit = 10 hexadecimal characters "0-9 , A-F"
WEP Hex : Hex 128 bit = 26 hexadecimal characters "0-9 , A-F"
WPA-PSK & WPA2-PSK encryption recommended characters is around 8 or above "0-1 - A-Z" ,
Make it secure but easy for you to remember.
1. Connect your router to your computer or laptop using an Ethernet Cable
2. Launch the wireless router's administration webpage by typing the address
your web browser. When prompted, enter the username
3. On the router's homepage, click the Wireless link under Home Network
4. Click on the word Configure in the top right of the screen
5. Under the security section enter your Password, Pass number into the Encryption Key Box and Apply
When the wireless router restarts, it will use the new Key (Password). You may need to delete the wireless
network from your preferred networks list, and then reconnect using the new password.

8. Removing Wireless Networks

8.1 Windows XP

1.
Open network connections and right click Wireless Network Connections, then click properties.

Under preferred networks, click the wireless network you want to remove and select "Remove"

8.2 Windows Vista

1.
Click "Start", right click "Network" and then select "Properties"
2.
Find the task list for the "Network and Sharing Centre" dialogue box and click "Manage Wireless
Networks".
3.
Select the old connection you wish to remove from the list and select "Remove"

8.3 Windows 7 and 8

1.
Open your Control Panel and select "Network and Sharing Centre" and then click on "Manage
Wireless Networks"
2.
Select the old connection you wish to remove from the list and select "Remove"
