    Installing the SIM card and battery Make sure the power is off before you remove the battery. 1. Remove the battery. Press the button to release the battery, then slide the battery down till it stops. Now lift the battery from its compartment.

    General Functions Entering text You can enter alphanumeric characters by using the phone’s keypad. For example, storing names in the phonebook, writing a message, creating a personal greeting. The following text input methods are available in the phone. T9 mode This mode lets you enter words with only one keystroke per letter.

    SELECTING FUNCTIONS AND OPTIONS Your phone offers a set of functions that allow you to customise the phone. These functions are arranged in the menus and sub-menus, accessed via the two soft keys marked [ ] and [ ]. Each menu and sub-menu lets you view and alter the settings of a particular function.

    Auto key lock timeout (Menu 7 .4.3) This menu allows to set the time of Auto key lock. Call barring (Menu 7.4.4) The Call barring service prevents your phone from making or receiving certain category of calls. This function requires the call barring password.     Preferred You can set a list of preferred networks that the phone will attempt to register with first, before attempting to register to any other networks. This list is set from the phone’s predefined list of known networks. Band selection (Menu 7.5.2) Use this to set the network band between two choices, GSM 900/1800 or GSM1900.

These services are specially designed for mobile phones and they are maintained by WAP service providers.
