wi-Fi SHAriNg

Turn your tablet into a portable Wi-Fi hotspot
and share your mobile data connection with
other devices.
To use your tablet's Wi-Fi sharing capability,
you must have a Tethering and Wi-Fi
Sharing service plan.
Note: When your tablet is serving as a Wi-Fi
hotspot, you cannot use its Wi-Fi connection to
access the Internet.
Turn on Wi-Fi Sharing
1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Wireless and networks.
4. Tap Tethering and portable hotspot.
5. Tap the Portable Wi-Fi
hotspot check box.
Your tablet starts broadcasting its Wi-Fi
network name (SSID). The default SSID is
AndroidHotspot.
Configure Wi-Fi Sharing
1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Wireless and networks.
4. Tap Tethering and portable hotspot.
5. Tap Configure portable Wi-Fi hotspot.

6. Enter a unique name for
your Network SSID.
7. Tap the Security drop-down menu
and tap the desired security setting.
8. If necessary, enter a password.
9. If necessary, tap Done to close
the on-screen keyboard.
10. Tap Save.

Use your tablet as a mass storage device
and share files with another computer.
Depending on your operating system, you
may need to download and install Samsung
Kies 2.0 before sharing files.
Download Samsung Kies 2.0
1. Open a web browser on the computer
you want to share files with.
2. Navigate to www.samsung.com/uk.
3. In the search box, enter the word
Kies and then click the Search icon.
4. Click Samsung Kies.
5. Click Download Kies.
6. Open the file you just downloaded.
7. Follow the instructions to finish
downloading and installing
Kies on the computer.
