2. System Configuration for a 4230 Printer
a. Auto Configuration
Auto Configuration can be utilized when either locally or
remotely attaching to the system. The printer is configured
as DEVTYPE (*IPDS), AFP (*NO). Other parameters are
automatically assigned by the system. If you need to specify
AFP equal to *Yes, the device description should be
manually changed to reflect this. See the AS/400 Device
configuration Guide.
b. Manual Configuration
To manually configure a local 4230 Printer use the
parameters given in the following table.
