GATE/INV
Gated reverbs were created by feeding a reverb, such as
a metal plate, through an analog gate device. Decay
time was set to instant, while hold time varied duration
and sound.
The Gate programs provide a fairly constant sound with
no decay until the reverb is cut off abruptly. These
programs work well on percussion, particularly on snare
and toms. It is recommended to experiment with other
sound sources as well.
Note:
Adjusting the Time or Duration parameters will
cause the selected program to reload. The System
Mode parameter Program Load Mode determines
whether the system will mute or bypass during
program load.
