Changing the Flash Timing

Change the timing of the flash and shutter release as follows.
Press the [
Control] on the [
[Built-in flash settings].
Choose [Shutter Sync.], and then choose
the desired option ( = 32).
The flash fires immediately after the shutter opens.
1st curtain
The flash fires immediately before the shutter
2nd curtain
closes.
If the shutter speed is set to 1/100 or faster, the flash fires on [1st
curtain], even if [2nd curtain] is selected.

Changing the Flash Metering Mode

When shooting with the flash, [Evaluative] is used for a standard flash
exposure. This metering method can be changed to average flash
metering mode across the overall flash region, such as when using an
externally metered flash.
Press the [
Control] on the [
meter.], and then select [Average].
When using [Average], adjust your flash metering compensation
for the scene to be shot.

Resetting Flash Settings

You can reset the internal flash settings to their defaults.
] button, choose [Flash

Press the [
] button, choose [Flash
Control] on the [

[Clear settings].
Choose [Clear built-in flash set.] and
press the [ ] button. On the next screen,
press the [ ][ ] buttons or turn the [ ]
dial to choose [OK], and then press the
[ ] button.
