Muting completely silences the loudspeakers.
Illumination is set to the low level when the handset is switched on.

Press the E key and the 4 key to mute the loud-
speakers.
This setting is automatically cancelled when a
handset is replaced in its cradle.
Press the E key and the 5 key to adjust the level of

illumination.

This function will toggle between three levels of
illumination: low, high and off.
