Shooting in Scene Mode

Night landscape

Use this mode to capture night landscapes. Slow shutter speeds
are used to produce stunning night landscapes.
• Camera focuses at infinity. When the shutter-release button is
pressed halfway, the focus area or focus indicator

always lights green; however, focus may not be set for nearby
subjects, while the carnera focuses at infinity.
• Motion detection

• AF-assist illuminator does not light regardless of the AF assist

Close-up
Photograph flowers, Insects and other small objects at close
range.
• The focus mode ([D36) setting will be changed to ~ (macro
close-up) and the camera automatically zooms to the position at
the closest distance at which the camera can focus,
• When the zoom indicator is positioned where the

glows green, the camera can focus on subjects as close as 10
em (4 in.) from the lens. At the 6 zoom position, the camera
can focus on subjects as close as 1 em (OA in.) from the lens.
• AF area mode

• The camera focuses continuously until focus is locked by pressing the shutter-release
button halfway,
• As pictures are easily affected by camera shake, check the
