Troubleshooting

Error
Engine does not start.
Engine does not run constantly
at no load.
Engine does not accelerate.
Engine has no power or stops
during cutting.

Cause
Ignition switch set to OFF.
Fuel tank empty.
Primer not depressed
adequately.
Engine flooded.
Old or incorrectly mixed fuel.
Dirty spark plug.
Air filter blocked.
Old or incorrectly mixed fuel.
Carburettor incorrectly
adjusted.
Old or incorrectly mixed fuel.
Carburettor incorrectly
adjusted.
Cutting head entangled with
grass.
Dirty air filter.
Old or incorrectly mixed fuel.
Carburettor incorrectly
adjusted.
Remedial action
Set switch to ON.
Fill fuel tank.
Slowly and fully depress primer 10 x.
On appliances with a choke lever:
Implement the starting process with the
choke lever in the operating position.
On appliances without a choke lever:
Press the throttle and pull the starter
cable.
Empty the tank / fill with fresh fuel mixture.
Replace or clean spark plug.
Clean or replace air filter
Empty the tank / fill with fresh fuel mixture.
Have carburettor adjusted by customer
service personnel.
Empty the tank / fill with fresh fuel mixture.
Have carburettor adjusted by customer
service personnel.
Stop the engine and clean the cutting
attachment.
Clean or replace air filter.
Empty the tank / fill with fresh fuel mixture.
Have carburettor adjusted by customer
service personnel.
