Appendix A
Syslog Messages
When an error occurs in the Multipath Driver, a syslog message is generated.
Format

The following sections explain the Multipath Driver messages (specifically the module_name:level:message
part), their causes and suggested responses.
If the error message continues to appear even after performing the suggested action, contact a Fujitsu
engineer.
mpdt driver specific syslog messages
MPDT: WARNING: I/O rejection %d:%d:%d:%d
Cause
The indicated paths for the indicated LUN have changed to a status that cannot accept I/O. LUN my not have
been correctly recognized and incorporated. %d is a number.
Action
Identify the failed paths using the "iompadm info" command, then resolve any HBA and other path
component problems, and use the "iompadm restart" command to recover the failed paths. If the "iompadm
restart" does not work, reboot the server.
MPDT: NOTICE: Failed to get memory.
Cause
Failed to acquire sufficient memory resources.
Action
Check the memory resource allocations.
