Setting the Temperature Controls

Door Ajar Alarm
This feature provides a warning if the door is
open for more than five (5) minutes. There will
be a beep every five (5) seconds and the "Door
Ajar" indicator will light up. Press "Alarm Reset"
to turn alarm off. The "Door Ajar" indicator
will remain lit until the door is closed. If the
door remains open for 15 minutes or more, the
interior lamp will turn off.
Temp Alarm
This feature is designed to provide a warning
if the inside temperature exceeds 23°F.
"HI TEMP" feature operates on household
electricity. It will not function if household
electricity is interrupted.
When the freezer is initially plugged in, the red
Upright Models
"HI TEMP" indicator will be on. The indicator
Figure 3
light will stay on until the freezer temperature is
below 23°F. If a malfunction causes the freezer
temperature to rise above 23°F, the "HI TEMP"
light will turn on and the buzzer will sound. The
buzzer will sound every five (5) seconds until the
freezer temperature is below 23°F. To silence the
buzzer, press the ALARM RESET button.
Should an "E" appear on display, contact your
authorized service technician for repair. Until
changes are made, freezer will continue to run.

Manual Defrost Mode

To initiate a 30-minute manual defrost cycle,
turn the freezer off as described above.
Press the "DOWN" button 4 times until a "d"
appears in the display indicating "defrost".
To exit Manual Defrost Mode, press the "DOWN"
button three (3) times. The "d" will no longer be
displayed. The control may then be operated
normally to set the freezer temperature.
