Accessory Power Outlet

The Accessory Power Outlet is located
on the passenger side of the console.
When using the accessory outlet, the
electrical load must not exceed five
amps. Some non-GM accessories may
not be compatible with the outlet and
could result in blown vehicle or adapter
fuses.
See Section 3 of your Owner Manual.

Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)

Your vehicle is designed so that the front
lights are always on when the ignition is
in the RUN position. This safety feature
illuminates your headlamps at reduced
brightness during the daylight to make it
easier for others to see the front of your
vehicle. This can be especially helpful in
the short periods after dawn and before
sunset.
The DRL system does not turn on the
taillamps, sidemarkers, parklamps, or
instrument panel lights.
The DRL system can be turned off
(while stationary) by setting the parking
brake before starting the vehicle. The
DRL system will come back on once the
parking brake is released.
See Section 3 of your Owner Manual.
Enhanced Traction System
(ETS) (with four-speed
automatic only)
Vehicles equipped with the four-speed
automatic transmission include a stan-
dard Enhanced Traction System (ETS) to
help minimize wheelspin. This is especial-
ly useful during slippery road conditions.
When the Enhanced Traction System is
limiting wheelspin, the LOW TRAC light
will illuminate in the instrument panel.
This light may also come on after hitting
a severe bump when traction is reduced
briefly.
The LOW TRAC light may indicate slip-
pery road conditions, so adjust your
driving accordingly. You may feel or hear
the system working, but this is normal.
See Section 4 of your Owner Manual.
