1. Plug the appliance into a polarized wall outlet.
Note: As a safety feature, this appliance has a polarized plug
(one blade is wider than the other) which fits in a polarized out-
let one way only. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
2. Slide the POWER switch located above the handle to the ON
position. The power indicator light will illuminate.
3. Allow unit to heat up for several minutes.
WARNING: The metal plates become very hot within a few sec-
onds and should not come in contact with the skin after the
straightening iron has been turned on. Keep heated surfaces
away from eyes.
Hair should be clean and completely dry before use.
1. Select a section of hair that is 1" wide and no more than 1/2"
thick.
2. Open the iron and place a hair section between the two hot
plates, close to the scalp. Trap hair between the plates by
firmly squeezing the handles together.
