The PORT engine is equipped with an alternator that charges the 12-volt accessory battery bank . The DC equipment will eventually
drain the batteries being used without the PORT engine running .
If the batterIeS get draIned, do one of the followIng:
1 . Start the PORT engine or use the onboard battery chargers to recharge the batteries .
2 . If not connected to shore power, run the generator to activate the battery chargers .

BATTERY ChARGERS
Two battery chargers are equipped onboard .
• A 60 amp battery charger monitors the voltage levels of the engine and accessory batteries
• A 20 amp battery charger monitors the voltage levels generator batteries
Each charger monitors and maintains the voltage levels of one or more batteries . When the chargers are ON, they automatically
charge the attributing battery when the voltage drops below the manufacturers level . Each charger is mounted on the Engine Room
PORT Aft bulkhead .

A single battery charger monitors each pair of engine batteries .

The engine battery charger is located in the engine room on the

1 . Provide AC power to the yacht . Power should be generated from either the on-
board generator or a shore power source . Refer to Section 3: Shore Power and/or
Generator Power for more information .

GENERATOR BATTERY ChARGER
The voltage levels of the generator battery is monitored and maintained by a single bat-
tery charger . The Generator battery charger is located in the engine room on the PORT
DC Panel bulkhead . Refer to Section 9: Engine Room for the battery charger exact
location .
operatIng the generator battery charger:
1 . Provide AC power to the yacht . Power should be generated from either the on-
board generator or a shore power source . Refer to Section 3: Shore Power and/or
Generator Power for more information .
2 . Locate the AC Control Panel
2a . Verify that power is available to the AC Control Panel by checking that the
GREEN Indicator light is lit next to the POWER AVAILABLE location .
2b . Switch ON the HOUSE/GEN BATT CHARGER circuit breaker located on
the AC Control Panel, Salon STBD Transom .
