1.8 Connecting Peripheral Devices

1.8.1 Floppy and IDE Disk Drive Connectors

Connect your floppy drive to the [FDC1] port by a floppy cable.
Check the pin-1 orientation before connecting. Make sure to align with the
pin-1 mark on both the [FDC1] port and floppy drive connector.
Connect your IDE drive(s) to [IDE1] port by an IDE
cable.
Each of the IDE port connects up to two IDE drives
by an IDE cable. Connect the single end of the
cable's longer length to the [IDE1] port, and then
connect the other two ends to your IDE drives.
Make sure to configure the "Master" and "Slave" relation before connecting
two drives by one cable.
Check the pin-1 orientation before connecting. Make sure to align with the
pin-1 mark on both the [IDE1] port and IDE drive connector.
