4.5 Electrical

All electrical connections are made via the single
corrosion resistant connector on the rear panel
(see Figure 5). A mating Bendix
PT06P-18-30SR, or equivalent, is supplied. All but one
of the solder cups accepts 0.5 mm
The larger solder cup accepts wire from a minimum

of 0.5 mm
(22 AWG) to a maximum of 1.5 mm
(16 AWG). See Connector Pinouts for pin connections.
Information on sync and video hookups is found in
the basic camera instructions. Zoom lens models
require a zoom lens control system.

OPENING THE HOUSING

CAUTION: These units must be properly
depressurized before opening the housing.
Carefully follow the depressurizing procedure.
5.1

Depressurizing

1.
Remove the Rear Vent Screw to depressurize
the housing (see Figure 6).

Remove the retaining ring on the rear of the
housing (see Figure 6).

Removing the Camera Cradle

1.
Remove the fill valve cap and attach a dry
nitrogen line to the fill valve. Add a small
amount of nitrogen to the housing to pop the
rear end cap from the housing. The supplied
mating connector can be attached to the 30-pin
connector on the rear of the housing and used
as a handle (see Figure 7).

If nitrogen is not available, gently, but firmly
grasp and pull the mating connector to release
it from the housing (see Figure 8).
CAUTION: Do not to pull on the cable
harness. Grasp the connector body to avoid
putting strain on the wires at the solder cups
in the connector.

2.
Remove the cradle assembly by pulling it out
of the housing (see Figure 8). Keep the edges of
the end cap clean and free of scratches.
3.
If replacing the faceplate or O-ring, remove the
front end plate by first removing the retaining
ring on the front of the housing (see Figure 10).
