Changing Your Storage Location Setting Your storage location setting determines where your images are stored when you take them and where the camera looks for them in Review mode.

    Using the Flash for Still Pictures When you take pictures at night, indoors, or outdoors in heavy shadows, your pictures need flash. The camera flash is effective when you are 1.6 to 10.5 feet (0.5 to 3.2 m) from your subject. In Telephoto, the flash is effective from 1.6 to 7.5 feet (0.5 to 2.3 m).

    Putting Yourself in the Picture The Self Timer creates a 10-second delay between the time you press the Shutter button and the time the picture is taken. The Video Length setting is useful if you wish to conserve space in the camera’s internal memory or on a Picture Card, or if you want all of your videos to be the same length. NOTE: If the current storage location does not have enough space to record for the specified time, the viewfinder light turns red when you turn off the menu screen.
