Chapter 7 - Test Switch Settings
The switch for Slot 0 controls the entire device. For example, if you set the switch for Slot 0 to
"3" and download new software to the device, all the other interfaces will automatically
receive the software update from Slot 0 via the backplane. In general, the only time you should
use an individual RIOP card's switch is when the card is unable to communicate with the back-
plane for some reason.
