Interface Grouping

On the Advanced / Interface grouping page, you can assign virtual PVC connections to the
router's ports (create groups of interfaces), which allows distinguishing different types of traffic.
This function is mostly used in Triple-play networks. Also on the page you can configure the router
to connect to a private Ethernet line.
The Ethernet WAN function allows using the LAN port of the router to access the Internet
!
via Ethernet technology. When the function is enabled, the router is still able to access the
Internet via ADSL technology.
To enable the Ethernet WAN function, follow the steps below.
1. Select the LAN choice of the Ethernet WAN port radio button.
2. If you need to assign one or more tagged VLAN connections or several untagged
connections to the created Ethernet WAN interface, select the VLAN MUX Mode choice of
the Ethernet WAN type radio button.
3.
Click the Save button.
To create a new rule for interface grouping (a group of ports), click the Add group button (the
button is not displayed if there is no WAN connection in the system).
