    KV-29FX11 SECTION 3 SET-UP ADJUSTMENTS • When complete readjustment is necessary or a new Carry out the following adjustments in this order : picture tube is installed, carry out the following 3-1. Beam Landing adjustments. 3-2. Convergence • Unless there are specific instructions to the contrary, 3-3.

    KV-29FX1 3-2. CONVERGENCE • Tilt the V.STAT magnet and adjust the static convergence by opening or closing the V.STAT magnet. Preparation: • Before starting this adjustment, adjust the focus, horizontal size and vertical size. • Minimize the Brightness setting. • Input a dot pattern from the pattern generator.

V.STAT Purity BMC (Hexapole) • The respective dot position resulting from moving each magnet interact, so be sure to perform adjustment whilst tracking. Use the H.STAT VR to adjust the Red, Green and Blue dots so that they coincide at the centre of the screen (by moving the dots in the horizontal direction).

    KV-29FX11 SECTION 4 CIRCUIT ADJUSTMENTS 4-1. ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENTS PICTURE ADJUSTMENT Service adjustments to this model can be performed using the supplied Remote Commander RM-886. AFC mode REF position HOW TO ENTER INTO SERVICE MODE SCP BGR Turn on the main power switch and enter into the stand-by SCP BGF mode.
  • Page 29 KV-29FX1 SUB BRIGHTNESS ADJUSTMENT Input a Phillips pattern. AGC ON/OFF Set the picture control to minimum. Constant gain CDB Enter into the ‘Picture Adjustment’ service menu. FM prescale FMP Adjust the ‘Sub-Brightness’ data so that there is barely a Zwei mono-st WHI difference between the 0 IRE and 10 IRE signal levels.

    KV-29FX1 4-3. BE-3D SELF DIAGNOSTIC SOFTWARE The identification of errors within the BE-3D chassis is triggered in one of two ways :- 1: Busy busy or 2: Device failure to respond to IIC. In the event of one of these situations arising the software will first try to release the bus if busy [Failure to do so will report with continuous flashing LED] and then communicate with each device in turn to establish if a device is faulty.
