IMPORTANT ALTITUDE INSTRUCTIONS
Before beginning set up of your new unit, you will need to find you altitude or
elevation. This information is needed for the altitude and forecast functions to
operate accurately.
Do this by visiting the national weather service website. For example:
www.nws.noaa.gov
Enter in your zip code and it should give you the altitude or elevation for your local area.
Input your city, state or your zip code
Your elevation (altitude) will show here
Make sure and write down the altitude for futre reference. Please refer to page 6, "SETTING
THE ALTITUDE AND FORECAST:" in the user manual for further instructions.
If the website referenced here is not available, or does not list your altitude, please
consult the following alternative sources for your local elevation/altitude information:
• Local small airports
• Topographical maps
• Library
• Other internet sources
