2.11 Thunderbolt
his motherboard has two thunderbolt connectors that support video output from
internal VGA. Due to 32-bit OS limitations, we strongly recommend using a 64-bit
OS to bring hunderBolt into full play. For thunderbolt display installation please
follow the steps below:
1. hunderbolt cables are provided by your monitor supplier.
2. hunderbolt ports on this motherboard supports DisplayPort 1.2 Re-drive (Pass-hrough)
mode with HBR2 Data Rates.
*If you are using a DP 1.2 monitor, plug it directly to the motherboard's thunderbolt port.
If the DP 1.2 monitor is connected to a thunderbolt device which is hooked up to the
motherboard's thunderbolt port, the monitor can only work as DP 1.1 monitor.
Internal VGA
If you want to use the internal VGA with the hunderbolt ports, simply connect
your monitor to either hunderbolt port (see p.13, No. 14, 15) on the motherboard
using a hunderbolt cable.
