Global Configuration
Optionally enter a port range (80-443) or a single port number into the Port Range/Port

Select the service type in the Service drop-down list. If you are applying a policy to a network

object, the service type is defined in the network object.
Select ALLOW or DENY from the Status drop-down list to either permit or deny SonicWALL

SSL VPN connections for the specified service and host machine.
Click Add to update the configuration. Once the configuration has been updated, the new policy

will be displayed in the Edit Global Settings window. The global policies will be displayed in
the policy list in the Edit Global Settings window in the order of priority, from the highest
priority policy to the lowest priority policy.
Edit a Policy for a File Share
To edit file share access policies, perform the following steps:
Navigate to either the Users > Local Users or Users > Local Groups window.

Click the configure icon next to Global Policies. The Edit Global Settings window will be

displayed.
Select the Policies tab.

Click Add Policy.
Step 4
Select Server Path from the Apply Policy To drop-down list.

Type a name for the policy in the Policy Name field.

In the Resource field, select one of the following radio buttons for the type of resource:

In the Server Path field, enter the server path in the format servername/share/path or
Step 8
servername\share\path. The prefixes \\, //, \ and / are acceptable.
Share and path provide more granular control over a policy. Both are optional.

Select PERMIT or DENY from the Status drop-down list.
