Description
[Enabled]
Determines whether the infrared port is active and the method used to
configure the infrared port.
• Select [Auto] to allow the BIOS or operating system to configure the
port automatically.
• Select [Enabled] to configure the I/O Address and Interrupt options
manually in BIOS setup.
• Select [Disabled] to turn off the infrared port.
[FIR]
Determines which physical interface the infrared port is assigned to. Select
IrDA to use the IrDA port in Standard IR (SIR) mode (115 Kbps). Select FIR
to use the IrDA port in Fast IR mode (4 Mbps). Note: The Infrared port
option must be Enabled before this setting can be changed.
[2E8 - 2EF]
Determines the base I/O address and interrupt request level used for the
infrared port. The Infrared Port option must be set to [Enabled] before this
setting can be changed.
[IRQ 6]
Determines the interrupt number for the infrared port. Note: The Infrared
port option must be Enabled before this setting can be changed.
[DMA 3]
Determines the DMA channel assigned to the infrared port when using Fast
IR mode. This option is only selectable when the Infrared Port Mode setting
is FIR.
