TITLE: Ice crusher motor issue on Side by Side Cassinetta production.
SUBJECT: It could happen that the wrong ice crusher motor is fitted (with a red connector).
In this case the customer claim will be "not delivered ice".
Note: It's valid only for Side by Side appliance with IDI system (In Door Ice) which are produced in 2007.
Value Line appliance (with the SANKYO ice maker) that are not dispensing ice or are dispensing ice only in the cubed
mode are affected by solenoid mechanical stuck or AC internal motor mechanical stuck. A User Interface board change will
not solve the problem!
CAUSE
The supplier of the ice crusher motor assembled the wrong PTC board into the motor unit (115V instead of 220V). The
wrong PTC is creating a peak of current, which is burning the motor triac on the User Interface board.
