TROUBLESHOOTING

If you have trouble starting or keeping your PHOENIX ST/BX running, here's a quick checklist of what to look for first.
PHOENIX ST/BX
Description
Problem
Speed control over heats
Car dies or slows
Car has a problem on power
Car is glitching
Gear mesh is too tight
Motor is overheats
Battery is discharged
No power
Battery not plugged in
Motor not plugged in
No throttle
Motor failure
No throttle, only steering
Motor keeps running
Servo not plugged in
No steering
Locked up steering linkage
Servo failure
Goes backwards when you pull the
Reversing
trigger or goes right when turning the
wheel left
Solution
Let it cool and try later
Check for loose wires, dead radio batteries or loose crystals.
Check motor capacitors, losse wires or crystals.
Let motor cool and check recommended gearing for motor
type. Reset gear mesh
Charge battery
Charge battery
Plug motor in
Replace motor
A-T-L function works;turn off the vehicle first and follow the
guide to turn on the radio. (Radio first, vehicle second!!!)
Check if the throttle trim knob is in neutral position.
Plug servo into ESC unit
Free up steering linkage
Replace servo
Check throttle / steering reversing switches on transmitter
