Access Data Roaming
The default setting for data roaming on this device is data roaming is off.
To activate data services while roaming, perform the following set-up.
Instructions: On the home screen, tap
manager → Global data roaming access → Allow access
for all trips/Allow access only for this trip/Deny data
roaming access

◎ Turning this on may incur high packet data charges.
Setting Current Time
Instructions: On the home screen, tap
If "Auto" is turned on, the date and time will be received from the
operators network to which the phone is connected and the difference
on your cell phone will be corrected.
During GSM/UMTS roaming, if "Auto" is turned off, you can manually set
the date settings, time zone and time.
During CDMA roaming, you cannot manually set this.

◎ Depending on the network, the time adjustment may not be performed
correctly.
◎ Timing for time adjustments differ according to the overseas communications
partner.
◎ Make sure the time on the device is reflecting daylight savings time when
applicable. This service cannot be used with some overseas communications
partners.

Making a Call Overseas
Calling Abroad From Your Destination

You can call Japan or other countries from your destination.
Example: If you wanted to call an American phone number

※1 When the other person is using global passport, you still enter the country
code for Japan (81), regardless of where they are physically located now.
※2 When an area code begins with 0, the 0 should be omitted (except

Calling Within Country of Destination
You can use the same method as in Japan to make calls to landlines
and cell phones.
However, this is different if using global passport CDMA in North
America, Hawaii, Saipan, Mexico.
