Controlling PTO Operating Speeds
Your vehicle can be programmed to operate in one of
two, preset or variable, engine
Either mode will work when the vehicle is stationary,
but only variable mode will work when the vehicle is
moving. For use in mobile applications, the vehicle must
be traveling at speeds greater than 5 mph (8 KP/h).
To operate your vehicle in the preset mode, do
the following:

Press in the PTO DOWN (SET) at the end of the
multifunction lever to change the engine speed to
PTO operating speed #1, the factory default setting
of 1,400 rpm. Press in the PTO DOWN (SET)
button again to return the engine speed to the PTO
standby speed.

Move the PTO UP lever from the on position all the
way to PTO UP (R/A) to change the engine speed to
PTO operating speed #2, a factory default setting of
1,700 rpm. Move the lever all the way to PTO UP
(R/A) again to return the engine speed to the PTO
standby speed.

The engine speed will return to a normal idle if the brake
or clutch pedal is pressed.
To operate your vehicle in the variable mode, use the
following steps:
1. Press the accelerator pedal to raise the engine speed
up to the desired rpm.
2. Press in the PTO DOWN (SET) button to maintain
the desired speed.
3. Release the accelerator pedal.
