CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENTS

The carburetors have been cal~brated and
pre-set at factory to provide best perfornl-
extreme changes in weather and/or eleva-
tion may necessitate further carburetor
adjustment.
IMPORTANT: To maintain peak engine
performance when operating at HIGHER
ELEVATIONS, it will be necessary to in-
stall a LEANER fixed high speed jet. (See
your authorized service facility.)
LOW SPEED MIXTURE
Pre-set lo* speed mixture screws as fol-
lows:
Lightly tighten screw-turn clockwise
Back-out screw
1-1/4
turns counter-
clockwise.
When trallerlng or transporting the boat/
outboard. ~t
recommended that outboard
remain In normal operating p o s ~ t ~ o n
Tilt lock mechanism (on non power trtm
models) is NOT intended to support out-
board durtng trailering. Damage to boat or
outboard could occur if add~tional support
is not used.
Start engine
Allow to run at IDLE for
several minutt s
With engine k t IDLE, shift to FORWARD
GEAR.
