HP ProLiant ML350 G5 Storage Servers are preconfigured with default storage settings and preinstalled
with the Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition operating system (OS). This section provides
additional details about the preconfigured storage.
Physical configuration
All models of the ML350 G5 come with six SATA hard disk drives (HDDs) and are configured for
hardware RAID 5 using the HP Smart Array E200i drive controllers. The HDDs are hot-pluggable and
hot-swappable, meaning the drives can be removed and installed with the power on, and the controller
determines whether a rebuild of the drive is necessary.
The logical drives reside on all six physical disks as shown in
contains an image that is deployed onto the OS partition during system installation.
