USING WITH ANOTHER AUDIO
UNIT
Operate in the order shown
÷ When AC power is used. (When battery power
is used, switch on the power button first, then
perform operation.)

Connect the audio unit, turntable, MD player,
etc. to the AUX IN jack (see page 7).

Press the AUX button. (The power is
switched on and the AUX mode is engaged.)
3
Start playback on the connected audio unit.
(For more details, refer to the instruction
manual of the connected audio unit.)
4
Adjust the volume.
(The volume level is displayed in the display
window.)

RADIO RECEPTION

Operate in the order shown
÷ When AC power is used. (When battery power
is used, switch on the power button first, then
perform operation.)

Press the TUNER BAND button.
÷ The power is switched on.

Select the band by pressing the TUNER
BAND button.
÷ Pressing this button switches between FM
auto, FM mono and AM.
3
Tune to the required station.
÷ Seek tuning (auto tuning) and manual
tuning are available (see page 26 for
details).
4
Adjust the antenna (see page 27).

Adjust the volume.
To listen to an FM stereo broadcast
FM auto
Set to this position by pressing the TUNER
BAND button when listening to or recording an
FM broadcast. If an FM stereo broadcast is
received, the "STEREO" indicator is lit in the
display window, and the FM broadcast can be
heard in stereo.
FM mono
Set to this position by pressing the TUNER BAND
button if FM stereo reception is noisy. The
"MONO" indicator is lit and the sound becomes
monaural, but the reception will be improved.
When another station is tuned to in this mode,
the "MONO" indicator goes off and the unit
returns to the FM auto automatically.
Note:
AM broadcasts are monaural.

RADIORRECEPCION

auto, FM monofónica y AM.

automática) y la sintonización manual están

Para escuchar un programa
estereofónico de FM
FM auto
Ajuste en esta posición presionando el botón
TUNER BAND mientras escucha o graba un
programa de FM. Si la unidad recibe una
radiodifusión estereofónica de FM, el indicador
"STEREO" se enciende en la ventanilla de
indicación y se escucha la radiodifusión
estereofónica.
FM mono
Ajuste en esta posición presionando el botón
TUNER BAND si la recepción de FM
estereofónica tiene ruido. El indicador "MONO"
se enciende y el sonido se vuelve monofónico,
pero la recepción mejora.
Cuando se sintoniza otra estación en este
modo, el indicador "MONO" se apaga y la
unidad vuelve automáticamente a FM auto.
Nota:
Los programas en AM son monofónicos.
UTILISATION AVEC UN AUTRE
APPAREIL AUDIO

Raccorder l'appareil audio, platine tourne-
disque, lecteur MD, etc. à la prise AUX IN
(voir page 7).

Appuyer sur la touche AUX. (L'alimentation
est mise en marche et le mode AUX est
engagé.)

Commencer la lecture sur l'appareil audio
raccordé. (Pour plus de détails, se référer
au manuel d'instructions de l'appareil audio
raccordé.)

Ajuster le volume.
(Le niveau de volume est affiché dans la
fenêtre d'affichage.)
RECEPTION RADIO
Procéder dans l'ordre indiqué
÷ Lorsque l'alimentation secteur est utilisée. (Si

Appuyer sur la touche TUNER BAND.
÷ L'alimentation est mise en marche.

Sélectionner la gamme en appuyant sur la
touche TUNER BAND.
÷ Des pressions sur cette touche font la
commutation entre FM auto, FM mono et AM.

Syntoniser la station voulue.
÷ La syntonisation par recherche (syntonisation
automatique) et la syntonisation manuelle
sont disponibles (voir page 26 pour des
détails).

Ajuster l'antenne (voir page 27).

Ajuster le volume.
Pour écouter une émission stéréo FM
FM auto
Régler sur cette position en appuyant sur la
touche TUNER BAND pour écouter ou
enregistrer une émission FM. Si une émission
stéréo FM est reçue, l'indicateur "STEREO" est
allumé dans la fenêtre d'affichage, et l'émission
FM peut être entendue en stéréo.
FM mono
Régler sur cette position en appuyant sur la
touche TUNER BAND si la réception stéréo FM
est bruitée. L'indicateur "MONO" est allumé et
le son devient monophonique, mais la réception
sera améliorée. Si une autre émission est
syntonisée dans ce mode, l'indicateur "MONO"
s'éteint et l'appareil revient automatiquement en
mode FM auto.
Remarque:
Les émissions AM sont monophoniques.
