Lamp Replacement Changing the Lamp It is very important that you NEVER TOUCH THE GLASS SURFACE OF THE NEW LAMP. Touching the glass surface will deposit oils from your hand onto the lamp surface. If you feel unsure about replacing the lamp yourself, call a service technician. Please observe all safety warnings. 1) Turn off the television.
