1. Close the fuel tank cock.
2. Loosen the drain plug (Figure 10, (1))
of the water separator and drain off any
water or dirt collected inside. Dispose
of the collected water and dirt properly.
NOTICE
Always be environmentally
responsible.
3. After draining, tighten the air bleed
screw (Figure 10, (2)).
4. Be sure to bleed air from the fuel
system. See Bleeding the Fuel System
on page 38.

positioned higher than the fuel
level in the fuel tank, water may
not drip out when the fuel filter /
water separator drain cock is
opened. If this happens, turn the
air vent screw on the top of the
fuel filter / water separator two to
three turns counterclockwise. Be
sure to tighten the air vent screw
after the water has drained out.
