Default applications

This menu allows you to pre-set the default applications for your Home screen and your messaging app.
1. From the Home screen, tap
Apps >
2. Tap Home and select one of the following options:
● TouchWiz easy home: Provides a Home screen that provides an easier user experience for the first-time
smartphone users.
● TouchWiz home: This is the Home screen that originally displays on your device.
3. Tap Messages and select the method of sending messages.
● Select either Messages (original Samsung messaging app) or Hangouts (Google messaging app).
4. To clear defaults that you have set up, tap Clear.

Calendar

This menu provides quick access to your Calendar settings.
1. From the Home screen, tap
Apps >
2. Alter the available settings as desired.
For more information, refer to "Calendar Settings" on page 44.

Call Settings

1. From the Home screen, tap
Phone >

From the Home screen, tap
Apps >
Call rejection
1. From the Call settings screen, tap Call rejection g Auto reject mode and tap one of the following options:
● Off: Deactivates the Auto reject mode.
● All incoming calls: Rejects all calls.
● Auto reject numbers: Rejects all calls in your Reject list.
2. Tap Auto reject list.
3. Tap
to manually add numbers to the Reject list.
4. Tap Unknown to create a check mark and automatically reject all calls that are not in your Contacts list.
Set reject messages
1. From the Call settings screen, tap Call rejection > Set up call rejection messages.
2. Tap
to manually add a reject message.

Tap one of the pre-written messages to be displayed when you want the call to be rejected. You can edit
the message if desired.
3. Tap Save to save the reject message.
Answering and ending calls
1. From the Call settings screen, tap Answering and ending calls.
2. Select any of the following options:
● Pressing the Home key: Allows you to press
● Voice control: Allows you to answer incoming voice calls using voice.
● Pressing the power key: Allows you to press the power key to end the current call.

Call-related pop-ups
This option allows you to have incoming voice calls pop-up on your display and any in-call status information
as a pop-up if there are any other currently open screens.
1. From the Call settings screen, tap Call-related pop-ups.
2. Place a check mark in the adjacent field activate the corresponding feature. Choose from either: Call
notification popups or In-call status pop-ups.
Show caller information
This option displays a caller's recent social network activity and the history of your communication with them
when a call is received.
1. From the Call settings screen, tap Show caller information.
2. Place a check mark in the adjacent field activate the feature.
Call alerts
1. From the Call settings screen, tap Call alerts.
2. Tap the following options to create a check mark and activate the features:
● Vibrate when answered: Enables your phone to vibrate when the called party answers the phone.
● Call-end vibration: Enables your phone to vibrate when the call ends.
● Call connect tone: Plays a tone when a call is connected.
● Minute minder: Beeps twice every minute that you are on a call.
● Call end tone: Plays a tone when a call is ended.
● Notify during calls: Turns on alarm and message notifications during a call.
Accessory settings for call
1. From the Call settings screen, tap Call accessories.
2. Select from the following available options:
● Automatic answering: Configures the device to automatically answer and incoming call when a headset is
detected.
● Automatic answering timer: Configures the time delay before the device automatically accepts the incoming
call.
● Outgoing call conditions: Allows you to make calls even when the device is locked.
