Bridge Output: This on/off switch combines the two amplifier out-
put channels into a single mono channel with twice the voltage of
the single channels. This means the output will be much more
powerful! It does this by bridging the outputs, and it requires spe-
cial loudspeaker wiring. Do not use the black binding post out-
puts when the Bridge Output switch is turned on. . . . . Connecting
anything to the black binding posts may result in a visit by the
Binding-Post Police. (See Section 2 for more information.) When
the Bridge Output switch is turned on, only the Channel 1 level
control will work.
"Y" Input: This on/off switch combines the two amplifier input
channels by "Y-ing" or paralleling them together. When the "Y"
Input switch is turned on, a signal fed into either input channel will
be fed to both outputs and the individual level controls of each
channel will continue to work independently.
Fuses
A fuse is provided to protect the power supplies from excess cur-
rent. It is located on the back panel below the power cord. A 20-
amp fuse should be used for all K-2 amplifiers, while a 15-amp
fuse should be used for all K-1 amplifiers that are configured to
use 100-120 VAC power. A 10-amp fuse should be used for all
units configured to use 200-250 VAC power.
IMPORTANT: Contact a Crown Service
Center or our Technical Support Group
for information on changing fuses.
