Storing Tire and Jacking
Equipment
CAUTION
Storing a jack, a tire or other
equipment in the passenger's
compartment of the vehicle
could cause injury. In a sudden
stop or collision, loose equip-
ment could strike someone.
Store all these in the proper
place.
Flat Tire Storage
Store the flat tire and tools in the
trunk.
You cannot store a full-size tire in
the spare tire storage compart-
ment.
Store the flat tire as far forward in
the trunk as possible.
1. Open the trunk.
2. Restow the jack, wheel
wrench and extension in the
foam support.
Store all the equipment in the
proper storage areas.

3. Remove the tie-down strap.
4. Turn the wing nut clockwise
to secure the equipment.
5. Install the spare tire cover.
6. Store the flat tire as far
forward in the trunk as
possible.
Always stow the tire with the
valve stem facing up.
7. Route the tie-down strap
through the tire.
8. Tighten the tie-down strap.
